Hey there! I'm Sakkie. I'm a woman in her 30s who married her uni best friend, moved abroad together, and decided to document her journey online again after long periods of hiatus. I am who I am because of the unhealthy amounts of time I spent online, from online games like Neopets or Gaia Online, to anime or k-pop fandom spaces.

I can say I have pretty much seen and tried it all: from early to mid-2000s pixel art sites to late 2000s and early 2010s girly blogging. I am very fond of these eras and I try to mimic them on my pixel subsite and my blog. Sadly, when personal websites became obsolete, I tried to do what everyone else did and started a makeup YouTube channel. It was fun while it lasted and I learned a lot of photo and video editing during the process, but being a constant victim of algorithms and feeling the pressure to promove overconsumption made me stop.

Outside the web, you can easily find me locked in at libraries, trying new craft beer at pubs, or trying to cross out countries from my travel bucket list. I truly appreciate any and all messages here and I want to promote positivity and a safe space for everyone on my websites.

About the Site

Prismatic Pink was originally launched as a WordPress blog, you can see more about my blog history here. As I mentioned there, my initial plan was to write blog articles using SEO and 2010's blogging style. After discovering the web revival scene, I changed my mind and shifted focus to the 2000's way of doing things.

Since I do enjoy both approaches, I decided to keep two different sites. This one mimics mid-2000's site portals with Frutiger Aero glossy buttons. The blog is made to be a balance between nostalgia and modernity, with a responsive layout for your convenience.
